    Time For A Change

    February 17, 2025

It’s been a tumultuous few weeks here, leading to a bittersweet announcement which is super exciting for us as a Company but also tinged with sadness as we are leaving our beautiful Barn at West Stoke, Chichester.   As we come to the end of our lease on the Barn, where we have happily traded for 10 years, we haven’t been able to secure a reasonable renewal with the Landlords, nor an arrangement which would give us any long term stability.   As many of you will know, we have run a popular Cafe at the Barn alongside our Retail Showroom, and I am very aware that this in itself will be sorely missed by many of our lovely regular customers.   All I can say is this really was a decision which was out of my hands from a business perspective, and say a huge thank you for all being so wonderful and supportive over the last 10 years!!

The good news is we are moving to not one but two new Retail Showrooms!  Our first new opening will be our largest Retail Space yet in a rural location at Selborne in Hampshire.  Just 30 minutes up the A3 from West Stoke, we will have every item from our collection on show there and can’t wait to welcome you all from mid March.  Although we aren’t offering a Cafe on site, the coffee machine will be coming with us and will permanently be on!  More news on this opening to follow, and I really hope you will make the journey to come and see us and have a leisurely shop in a fabulous space.

Our second retail Showroom will be closer to home in Chichester Town Centre.  I am absolutely delighted to announce that we are opening in the fabulous new Fernleigh building in North Street.  I have always loved this stunning Grade II Listed building, back to the days when it was home to Jack Wills, and can’t wait to open our townhouse styled spaces on the first floor of this iconic building.  Fernleigh itself is an exciting new addition to Chichester with its Cafe and Wine Bar on the ground floor, as well as beautiful Members Lounges and a stunning Studio Suite on the top floor offering an array of fitness classes as well as a gym.  Fernleigh is open to both members and non-members so do pop over to their website for further news and developments.  We will be opening our store on Good Friday, with more news and updates to follow!

Do follow us on socials and subscribe to our newsletter here to be kept up to date with all the announcements, special events and dates!  Our last day in West Stoke will be Saturday 1st March and we look forward to welcoming you to our new spaces shortly after.

As they say, when you are a small independent business there really is never a dull moment!  Once again, my heartfelt thanks for all your support over the years and I do hope you will join us on our new journey.
