The Trends to Follow in 2024

    January 13, 2024

And just like that, we’ve ushered in a New Year!  With it come a whole host of new and exciting trends that are set to redefine our homes in 2024.  From warm, earthy hues like amber and terracotta to metallic finishes, stripes and organic lighting choices.  Whether you’re planning a complete renovation or just looking for some refresh options, we’re breaking down the details that define this year’s interior style.

    Warm and Inviting: Earthy Hues

Amber, terracotta and browns will be the dominant hues this year.  These warm colours look equally as good featured in your soft furnishings and accessories, as they do highlighted on your walls or furniture.  Consider adding cushions for a refresh to your living space, like our Sand Piping Cushion.  Or make a bolder statement with a new piece of furniture.  Our Reclaimed Elm furniture pieces are full of character with a soft, natural colour that fits perfectly into this trend.

    Embrace the Industrial

Metals like chrome, iron and aluminium are suddenly everywhere and we’re loving the industrial edge it’s giving to our spaces.  These materials are seen most often in your kitchen or dining space.  2024 will see them featured throughout the home, in the form of wardrobes, lighting and smaller accessories for that subtle touch.  Our Rag Iron Stool is available in two heights, with the smaller of the two doubling up as a stylish side table for any room.

    Add a Stripe

When it comes to choosing your soft furnishings like cushions or bedding, a pattern is a great way of injecting an element of fun into the space.  A stripe can be so effective paired with natural materials and a neutral palette.  Alternatively, incorporate this trend through your choice of tableware, or go bold with a tile or wallpaper.  Our Handmade Moroccan Tableware range features a stripe in a variety of bold colours or opt for our Folke Cushions for that subtle refresh to your living space.

    Organic Lighting

Something we know a little about!  Natural materials have always been our favourite option when it comes to lighting choices.  Whether it’s rattan, seagrass or bamboo, this trend adds depth and texture to a space.  Opt for a statement lampshade in your bedroom, kitchen or living room.  The light shining through the woven detailing will create a beautiful ambience.  Our Shaped Rattan Lampshades would even work in your hallway as a wow factor for your guests.

You’re sure to find a dose of inspiration in this round up, so go ahead and start planning that 2024 refresh.  Grab a coffee and pop over for a browse for more inspiration.
