Last Monday, our latest Vintage Collection arrived at HQ.
Our favourite day on the DV schedule. Many steps go into preparing these beautiful pieces before launch day, from unloading them from the van to styling each piece before photographing them. It’s always all hands on deck to get them ready to go live.
These beautifully unique pieces are sourced and handpicked for you by our Founder, from a Hungarian family we’ve worked with for years. Each piece is lovingly restored in their traditional workshops using age-old techniques, before arriving to us in the sage green and almost black waxed finishes you all know and love.
The Vintage Vitrines
The character and craftsmanship of these Vitrines make them not just functional pieces of furniture for your bedding, tableware or trinkets, but conversation starters and statement pieces that can be passed down for generations to come. Each one is totally different from the last. You’ll see this in the intricacy of their woodwork, their unique hardware and the varied mix of styles.
As Seen in our Founders Home
If you’ve already stumbled across our Founders Georgian home, you may have spotted some of our Vintage Vitrines sitting pride of place. Lisa opted for a glass fronted Vitrine in the bedroom to store bed linen and a gorgeous double door Vitrine for the living room.
Of course, these pieces wouldn’t be complete without one of our loved Vintage Dough Bowls placed on top. Our favourite Vintage duo.
The Vintage Cupboards
Our Vintage Cupboards are the perfect storage solution for a smaller space. We’ve seen our cupboards used in hallways for shoes, kitchens to house tableware, and bedrooms for clothes. There are so many possibilities with these unique items. ‘Ayla’ is a particular favourite of this drop, with its sage green waxed finish and pretty brass handles.

The Favourite
We just can’t help it. With every drop, a favourite is selected amongst the DV team and it’s always bitter sweet when we see it sell. In this collection we fell in love with ‘Lyla’. Its stunning detailing and single glass fronted door stood out to us from the get go and it features three shelves which are perfect for all your trinkets and treasures.
We’ll be sad to see her go!
