Whether you are hosting a festive feast or an intimate dinner this Christmas, don’t forget the importance of decorating your table! Your dining table will most likely see many hours of festive activity and a beautifully decorated table is a great way to wow your guests and enhance the festive atmosphere.
We’ve put together three tablescapes for you to use in your home this year, using some of our favourite homewares and inspired by this year’s trends.
Nordic Monochrome
A subtle twist on the more traditional black and gold theme, a monochrome palette can still be festive! Start with our Carbon Linen Tablecloth, the perfect foundation for this sophisticated table setting, and pair it with our Black Pion Handmade Tableware, a beautiful shade of black/brown. Add contrast with napkins or placemats in the opposite colour and our Smoke Cocktail glasses for your Christmas toast.
Light our Grey Dinner Candles to set the atmosphere and complete the look with some pretty festive foliage as a centerpiece.
Rustic Charm
Less is more with this tablescape. You don’t necessarily need a tablecloth and natural materials like linen, wood and natural foliage are all elements that pull this theme together. You could also mix your tableware together to add depth to your table. We love our Handcrafted Amina range paired with our Black Pion Handmade Tableware.
Combine white candles, black iron candleholders and linen napkins to complete this look. Simple yet oh so effective.
A Touch of Gold
Last but certainly not least, is our take on a traditional gold Christmas theme. This colour always brings warmth and a touch of decadence to any Christmas table setting, and is a firm favourite here at DV. A white linen tablecloth will help your gold accents pop, as well as some green foliage to add contrast to the setting. Add a touch of Scandi with our Amber Glasses, Woven Jute Placemats and White Mist Candle Holder.
