It’s been all hands on deck this month unpacking the latest arrivals in our Vintage Collection. This week it was the turn of our gorgeous Elm pieces.
These pieces are handcrafted using reclaimed elm wood, usually from doors that are over 100 years old. As a result, there are heaps of character in these sideboards from the patina of the wood to their traditional design and unique markings.
The Elm Sideboards
Our sideboards are a signature piece within the Elm Collection. There is aways a buzz in the air when the team unload these beauties with their different grain patterns, weathered textures and little imperfections that make them so special. If you’ve visited us on ‘elm day’, you may have noticed the hustle and bustle at the back of the store as we style and photograph each one. We love how much these pieces create conversation even before they’ve reached your homes.
The rich tones and natural patina that only come with age give every one of these sideboards their own story, making them true one-of-a-kind additions to your home. Perfect in a hallway or kitchen, with pretty double doors to hide your household clutter. What’s not to love?
The Dongbei Consoles
We sourced two of these beautiful Dongbei consoles in this drop, a rare find! Reminiscent of age old Chinese craftmanship, we’re particularly fond of the curved lines and unique detailing of these pieces. The small cupboard doors are a gorgeous touch, and we love to style them with our Vintage Dough Bowls, perfect for storing your keys in the hallway.
The Collection over the years.
It’s not only sideboards and console tables. Over the years we’ve had some gorgeous finds within the Elm Collection, including side tables and stools. The smaller pieces are just as special and so versatile. We’ve seen our stools inject character into corners of your bathrooms, kitchens, living rooms and bedrooms.

In Lisa’s home, our Vintage Round Elm Stools are used in so many lovely ways, from seats around her Kitchen table, to side tables next to our Linen Sofa in the living room. Get the look with the few pieces we have available in this drop. We don’t see them lasting long!
